Novita Italian Cuisine

Been a customer since it opened 10 yrs ago. Grew up eating homestyle Italian at my friends' homes, so I know how "real" is supposed to taste. Novita is that place. Staff and service have always been great, but it is the food that makes this with it. Great value, large portions and the flavours are on target. Real food for real people. Had the Tomahawk today, amazingly tender and fed 3 people.

This place is fantastic. We have dined here multiple times and the entire family loves it! Every dish we have ever ordered is delicious and the service is fantastic! Shout out to Sandy and the owner/chef Raj! We will continue to enjoy for years to come! If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend that you do!

Novita is a hidden gem for Italian food and pasta in Markham. Visited on a Sunday night during Christmas with a party of 7 and it was quiet, only 2 other large groups and a few smaller tables. We ordered the 48oz tomahawk steak, lobster risotto, Novita linguine (scallops and salmon in a cream sauce, calabrese pizza. The steak came with choice of sides and we chose a Caesar salad, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables in butter. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare with just the right amount of seasoning and flakey salt. Linguine was very creamy with small slices of salmon and a few scallops. The star was the lobster risotto which came with a large lobster claw of meat and a few whole scallops. It was creamy, soft and the lobster was excellent. The weakest dish was the pizza which is a thin crust pizza but I found it a but dry both the crust and lacking in sauce. Calabrese sausage simply wasn't spicy enough. It could be improved with a contrast like a hot honey. Service was friendly, attentive and relatively quick. Very accommodating including helping us crack open the large lobster claw in the risotto; they also added more risotto! Note the risotto is a very generous serving and best shared between a few people. Would definitely visit again and try their regular, non-holiday 3 course menu. Highly recommended for authentic and delicious Italian food in Markham.

This hidden gem serves authentic Italian cuisine with huge portions and incredible flavors. Their signature lobster pasta with jumbo shrimp is a must-try. Great food, great prices - highly recommend!

This is our neighborhood gem restaurant. We have been going here since it opened and stuck with it over Covid for takeout. The food is amazing. The chef is wonderful. Love the pizza. Mussels outstanding. My blackened Cajun salmon is one of the best dishes I have ever had. My husband loves the warm portobello mushroom salad and I love the roasted beet and goat cheese. 10/10 for service and food.

Another dinner at Novita was another delicious experience. This time I enjoyed the fish of the day which was branzino fish with a beurre blanc sauce. I chose the angel hair pasta in oil and garlic. I have never been disappointed with my choice of food at Novita. Four of us enjoyed our latest visit to Novita. The service was very good as usual. The staff was very friendly and it was nice that chef came by to see if everything was as expected. I thoroughly enjoyed the blackened chicken with angel hair pasta! I also had the halibut for lunch earlier in the week. I love halibut and it was absolutely delicious. A definite recommendation. A great place to host a gathering for fine food.
